A Famous Photographer

Wyn Wiley is a famous photographer that has been influential for me. He does create graphics using photoshop, but he does edit his photos using photoshop. He take a normal image, and creates it into something extraordinary through his editing skills. The quality and uniqueness of his photos is incredible to me. Every photographer has his or her own editing style, but Wyn Wiley’s is the one that I try to imitate most. He has a delicate touch of light and color throughout every one of his photos. The images below are a couple of my favorites.

I think I like them because he approaches each picture with an unexpected angle, and makes the people or objects in the picture look beautiful. Some photographers take it too far in the during the editing process, and some people turn out looking fake in their photos as a result. I think Wiley does a great job of editing a person’s complexion, but maintaining the integrity of some of their key imperfections.

Wyn offers workshops that allow other photographers to learn from him. He says, “ had some incredible mentors/educators/photographers that taught me a lot of REEEAALY important things about this industry and believed in me more than I ever believed in myself. They taught me some of the basics, sure, but what really stuck was the hands-on and the “let’s talk about this” and the nitty gritty/get down to business/this is actually what it’s like to be in the photography industry.” Wyn’s workshop costs $700.00. this seems like a steep price, but when you’re as well known and talented as Wyn, you can charge almost anything and still get away with it.

Here are a couple articles about Wyn that speak to his creativity and talent.
