My

Every little kid has an insane amount of creativity, and a far out there imagination. As we grow up, we slowly grow out of our creativity and imagination; but for whatever reason, I don’t think I every really grew out of mine…

Photography is something I am newer at, but was desperate to learn after I realized how hard it was to create something in photoshop without your own images. I love everything graphic design, and the more and more I work on projects, the harder it is to find pictures that have a good quality resolution, are exactly the size and angle that you need, and the more complicated citing your sources becomes. I got tired of being limited on what I could create, so I picked up a camera, read a couple books, called up a photographer friend of mine, and learned.

I have created this blog to teach other beginners what I know, about the manual mode of a DSLR camera. I want to teach people how to take pictures and to tell a story with the shots and perspective that they choose. It’s interesting to me how an image can be the biggest tool of persuasion in the media. In this blog I would also like to go through the basics of photoshop, and post some examples of the power of an image when paired with an image.

I think there are a big group of people who have a desire to learn how to take high quality pictures, and another group that has a desire to learn how to edit their pictures. Whether you’re a parent wanting to take pictures of your kids on vacation, or a young adult wanting to take sweet pictures for social media, this blog could be of use to you!

I love a good challenge, and one of my hopes for this blog is that readers would send in graphics that they want to learn how to do, and I then would take some of those graphics, recreate them, and then post instructions on how to create them! This is a website and a couple examples of different photo manipulations that I would love to learn how to achieve! http://www.fromupnorth.com/digital-art-inspiration-828/

Pinterest is also a good place to find ideas for new projects! https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=graphics%20photography&rs=guide&term_meta[]=graphics%7Ctyped&term_meta[]=photography%7Cguide%7Cword%7C16&add_refine=photography%7Cguide%7Cword%7C16

Advanced Photoshop is a great instructional blog and is one of my favorites to look at for reference! They give great step by step instruction of how to create really cool images using photoshop! http://blog.advancedphotoshop.co.uk/tutorials/blending-mixed-media/
